About Me
Hi! My name is Desi Severance. I grew up on a small farm in New York Mills, MN. My family raised beef cattle, but also had a multitude of animals running around the place including chickens, ducks, goats, horses, and most recently sheep. I also worked for many dairy farmers in the area. I am the oldest child of 5 in my family (4 girls and a boy).
I graduated from New York Mills High School in 2005 and went on to attend college at the University of Minnesota: Crookston. I earned two Bachelor Degrees there, one in Agricultural Education and the other in Animal Science. I graduated from UMC in 2010 and was hired by the Southeast Region Career and Tech Center before leaving school. In December, 2017 I graduated from North Dakota State University with my M.Ed. in Agricultural Education.
I am currently starting my 9th year of teaching in Wyndmere and have loved every minute of it. The students, staff, and community could not be a better fit!
I married my husband Connor in May of 2009. He currently runs his own gunsmithing business (Severance Shooting Solutions) our of our home.
We have 3 children- Madeline (9 years old) and Ella (6 year old) and - Samuel (5 years old).
